✦ Plain-Language Summary

This law gives the Mayor, Borough Presidents, and City Council more time to complete the annual budget process for the 2027 fiscal year. It pushes back key deadlines, including when the Mayor must submit a proposed budget and when public hearings must wrap up. This helps ensure city leaders have adequate time to review and finalize how NYC's money will be spent.
